GUNTER HAMPEL HEARTPLANTS QUINTET : 35 years ago, 1965 The Gunter Hampel
Quintet initiated the begin of a new Jazzstyl (Europe's awakening) and its
members : Gunter Hampel, Manfred Schoof, Alexander v. Schlippenbach, Buschi
Niebergall and Pierre Courbois were soon to manifest their own individual
music.
The reunion 1997 lead to a new CD and a remarkable performance at the MUSIC
TRIENALE at the Stadtgarten in KOELN,Germany.Since then this incredible band
is much in demand. The next performance will be at the JAZZFESTIVAL in
Goettingen on November 11 at the Deutsches Theater.
Scheduled for March 2oo1 is a concert at the Harmonie in BONN, which will
also feature another of Gunter Hampel's Jazzhistory making ensembles : The
Gunter Hampel Group with Willem Breuker, Arjen Gorter and Pierre Courbois
