In 1969 Gunter Hampel formed his own record label BIRTH RECORDS and has
since then served the worldwide jazzcommunity with valuable contributions to
the Jazzcontinuum.With musicians like Jeanne Lee,Marion Brown,
SteveMcCall,Anthony Braxton,Barre Phillips,Sunny Murray,Perry Robinson,Mark

Juhnke he is continuing to present his unique concept, for which he got
countless awards from the music and artworld .Gunter Hampel reciewed the No 1
world Vibraphonists award from the international down beat critics award in
1978 and is since then listed among the top 8 established Jazz Vibraphonists,
worldwide.
Gunter Hampel is living since 1969 in New York from where he untertakes his
