Gunter Hampel is a worldwide renowned composer-bandleader-vibraphonist-bassclarinetist-flutist-instant composer+ conductor-improviser
His different projects (working-units with his  constant developing music ) are on world-wide tour since 1958

His music is documented since the "8th of July 1969" , (BIRTH oo1) the date where he got his vision realized for the first time.  In  becoming his own  producer  allowed him to tape the music the way he as a composer and leader of his band designed it and he used his label BIRTH  as a documentation as witness of their musically developement , since.

(in contrast to a commercial record company, which tapes music to make money, Hampel went on to develope his music,to broaden  up his' music 's expressions and give the participants more room for communication and extended forms of collective and individual expression as an artist, as a human being in search,  spiritual growth , in teamwork, as well as in Solo- work, in contrast of being a slave in the (trend) scene and the music industry)

Not only is Gunter Hampel's music documented but with it some of the greatest jazz and improvising musians of this age.
